Cerra.do is a catalogue of properties on the Samaná peninsula, Dominican Republic, operated by MARVY & MATEO LLC. When you get in touch through this site, your details reach both the platform and the real estate agency that lists the property you asked about.

Cerra.do does not sell properties. Each agency does. That matters for your privacy: what you send has two recipients, not one, and both are named on this page.

· What you type into a form: name, email, phone, your message, and — when you request a viewing — the day and time you pick.

· If you open an account: your email and password, or the basic details of your Google account if you sign in with it. Plus your favourites, saved searches and alerts.

· If you request a valuation of your property or fill in the buyer questionnaire: the answers you give, including details of the property.

· If you message us on WhatsApp from a button on this site: the conversation is stored, the same way an email is.

· Browsing data: which listings you view and when, so we do not show you the same thing twice and so we know which properties draw interest. We use Google Analytics to measure traffic in aggregate.

To reply to you, to show you properties that match what you are looking for, to send the alerts you asked for, and so the agency can look after you. Nothing else.

We do not sell your data, we do not hand it to advertisers, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

The agency that lists the property you asked about, and the person at that agency who looks after you. That is why you wrote to us.

The suppliers that keep the site running: hosting and database, email delivery, WhatsApp Business and analytics. They handle your data only to provide us that service.

A competent authority, where the law requires it — and in no other case.

For as long as the relationship is live: if you are house-hunting, while you hunt; if you bought, for as long as Dominican law requires the paperwork of a transaction to be kept.

If you ask us to delete your data, we delete it, other than what we are obliged to keep in relation to a completed transaction.

Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and it works: one click stops the marketing alerts immediately.

If you have an account, you can see and change your alerts from your space on the site.

To request a copy of your data, correct it or have it deleted, write to us from the contact page. We reply the same way.

We use browser storage for the basics: keeping you signed in, remembering your favourites, and not showing you the same notice twice.

We use Google Analytics to know how many people visit the site and which pages they see. That data is aggregated and we do not use it to identify you personally.

This site is not aimed at minors and we do not knowingly collect their data.
